Welcome to my online presence where you will find information about my vita, research, and writing! 

I am Associate Professor (tenured) in the School of International Development & Global Studies at the University of Ottawa, co-organizer of the Fragile States Network (FSRN) at the Centre for International Policy Studies (CIPS), as well as  Senior Fellow at the Austrian Institute for Europe and Security Policy (AIES) and Senior Researcher with the Canadian Network for Research on Terrorism, Security, and Society (TSAS).  I am the winner of  the Faculty of Social Sciences' Young Researcher Award (2017), and for 2017-18 guest researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of Konstanz in Germany.  

I am teaching courses on the security-development nexus, humanitarian intervention, peace-and statebuilding, global governance, and research methods. Prior to coming to uOttawa, I held the prestigious Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) post-doctoral fellowship at Queen's University (Canada) and was a visiting fellow at the Europe Centre at Stanford University (USA).
